aboutTravel tips for traveling in Indianapolis

Jan 11, 2013 - Fun times in Indianapolis

There is so much to do and ways to enjoy Indianapolis, all you need is just hop on a charter bus and start exploring Indy!

Before you begin your exploration, why not start with getting the gifts and souvenirs so you do not have to be worried about the last minute shopping. Take a stroll in downtown Indy and you will be able to find some very interesting local stores such as Big Hat Books. This charming book store with creaky hardwood floors is one of only 1,500 independent book stores left in the country. Looking for a modern, edgy and often humorous gift items, Homespun is the place or Panda(ology) for an Asian twist. If your friends and family are foodies, they will definitely appreciate mouth-watering selection of treats including roasted nuts, popcorn seasonings, and popcorn from Just Pop In!

After you have done all the gift shopping, is time to refill your energy bar. Head to Iozzo and enjoy their incredibly addictive lobster ravioli or the panini with bacon at R Bistro or the all American meal at Chatham Tap for burger and montauks.

Now, head off to the City County Building and take the freight elevator (or climb the stairs to burn off those calories) to the 26th floor and enjoy the museum in the air. Take a jog in downtown Indy to the many war memorials and lead yourself to the American Legion Mall to toss a football there.

Charter a bus to the east to Irvington for a haunted tour and sip tea at Propyleaum. For the sweet tooth, is difficult to resist the ice cream from Monument Circle at South Bend Chocolate Company and recharge with cup of Calvin Fletcher’s coffee.

Move those hips along with the tunes of Lockerbie Pub at the hipster dance party. Knock yourself out with a German beer at The Rathskeller.

The list just goes on and on... so allow Charter Bus Indianapolis to help you plan your next fun filled vacation with our fleet of charter buses that can cater to any size family group, and friendly, personalized service.
